Ok I know it is coming out in spring sometime.

What I'd like to know is what's going to be in there. I've spoken to sales and they say that they don't have a definitive list until about a month before the release.

I'm not after a definitive list. I'm just like to get a feel for the general direction etc.

With version 7, we are not looking to do little improvements to lots of little areas (which is probably going to mean that some of the minor improvements you want may not be included). Rather, what we have looked to do is take one specific area and pour time and energy into it until it is worrking in exactly the way we want it to.

With v7, we have turned our attention to discounting and special offers so you will see many changes in this area. There are a few other significant additions as well, details of which will arrive in due course.

I was going to add that I thought V6 was rather good and addressed most of my needs.

Any chance brochure pages will become hierarchical? Currently I use 'shims' to hide pages on the home page and then expressly link them in other brochure pages.

The problem is that Google will pick up on 'shims' and if there are too many will block the site as it believes it to be a supicious practice.

It is going to be possible to have brochure fragments in section pages, so it will be possible to create a hierarchy of sections and sub-sections.

How about paging of products for next and previous?

This is causing a major headache at the moment as I am having to redesign the sections to be in paged subsections?

Or is there another way?

Or some examples of how it's done...

No details are released yet of what features will be in the next release. I can tell you that there is no change to the stock monitoring features of Actinic.

We looked into doing this, and even worked out how to do it, but unfortunately it would have taken too long to develop this feature, taking into account all the other functionality that we were adding into the software.

We are really fed up when Actinic has a 1p difference after vat has been added.

Maybe if Actinic worked to 4 decimal places instead of 2 decimal places?

I'm afraid that there is no change within VAT function for version 7, therefore you would still need to use Custom Tax when a product has a 1p difference.
