Help!! im about to purchase some webspace for my acinic site, theres so many different packages, Can some 1 please tell me the webspace / hosting requirements needed to host my Actinic store, such as do i need mysol etc.....

You don't need MySQL or any database on the server. You need Perl, SSL if you want your own SSL (or you can use a PSP or use a shared SSL provider). You must have your own domain (URL) to be viable.

Most important: You need a quality ISP. A bad ISP will give you nothing but grief (and lost income).

The 30-day Money Back Guarantee is really not a guarantee, and it requires an annual contract. It does not specifically mention Perl, but everybody has it. You should check it and the version. The $7.95 plan should be enough, but many tears have been shed due to ultra-cheap ISP’s.

I would register the domain myself and then make the ISP the technical contact. That way you can be sure you own it outright.

Of course, the special offer expires today. Can you find out this ISP's reputation?
