Publish to server

We are swapping our site over to a dedicated server, is it possible to publish to an IP address before our name propagation.

I don't know for sure but you could always do a network test using the IP address and see if that works. That's in Advanced / Network. If you're using V6 you can easily export your existing network settings and re-import them after the test.
