I think I may have come across a bug in V6
When I click on Test in Network Setup, I get an error message complaining that the mail server specified is invalid. It goes on to give a slightly more detailed error as follows:
Mail server messages:
220 nc3-0010.web.dircon.net ESMTP Sendmail 8.11.6/8.11.6; Fri, 13 Dec 2002 10:48:20 GMT
Failed 1 - Response: 220 nc3-0010.web.dircon.net ESMTP Sendmail 8.11.6/8.11.6; Fri, 13 Dec 2002 10:48:20 GMT
Despite the above error message, everything works as it should. i.e. Order confirmation emails are being sent. So the error message produced by the test is wrong.
This seems to happen with all the V6 sites we have produced lately.
I have tried the same server with a couple of version 5 sites and there is no such problem. Therefore, I am convinced that this is a bug in V6.
Actinic Support: any ideas?
