Quantity...

I'm trying to get my product page to show the quantity box so that a customer can order more than 1 product. I have ensured maximum order is over 1 (i made it 10) and the hide on homepage is UNchecked. But the box still is not appearing. There seems to be no help on this in the pdf and after searching all postings no-one else seems to be haivng this problem!

Check that the section you have this product in is set to Layout type Quantity on Product Page.

If you have this product at the very top of the catalog then you have to alter this in Design / Options Shop Defaults / Shopping Mode.

HI, thanks for your reply, yes it is set to that in the layout view, i checked this too! I'm very confused...

Have you a live site so we can see?

Also check your Product Template and make sure that NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTQUENTITY isn't commented out. The relevant line usually looks like

NETQUOTEVAR:CARTERRORXMLNETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTQUANTITY<br>

Hi again Norman, what I had done is have the 'use parent settings' ticked, even though the show quantity radio button was greyed out i thought I thought it was active because it was selected...so basically your first answer would have solved it ! it's a bit confusing I have to say...
