Automatically add a product ?

I want to offer a discount to people who pay for membership. i.e. a "pay £10 and save 10%" kind of thing.

The difficulty is that I'd like it to be available instantly.

Given the options Actinic has, it looks as if the best option is to create a 'new members' price schedule with a membership fee (product) automatically placed in the shopping cart. (or vice versa would be fine)

Does anyone know of a way to automatically add this to the cart ? or is there a better way of doing it?

There isn't any way that I know of to automatically add a product to the cart. My only suggestion is you could create a £10 product called 'Confirm Registration' that people have to include in their first order in order to be eligible for the 10% discount.
