Can you put the advanced search on act_brochureprimary?

Does anyone know if you can you put the advanced search on act_brochureprimary?

If not is there a way to extend the simple search so that it is not so simple.

The Advanced User Guide section - Manual Configuration of Advanced Searching - suggests that an independent piece of search HTML and the matching control file will be created and can be incorporated in your own HTML.

It is worth getting a second opinion on this, I only need to use simple seraching so have no experience of this - but it looks like the manual suggests that you can copy out this piece of created HTML and incorporate anywhere you like - that (at least to me) would include Brochure pages.
