Quantity on catalog page

We've setup our store using Curves, and the check box for quantity on catalog page is grayed out - how do we get it to be selectable?

Is this in Design / Options / Shop Defaults / Shpooing mode or when you double-click a Section and look in (Advanced) / Layout / Shopping Mode?

If the latter you have to uncheck Use Parent Settings.

Under sections i can not uncheck use parent... the whole shopping mode is greyed out.

Under Design /options /shop defaults / shopping mode is greyed out also ...

Have a look in View / Business Settings / Options / Allow On This PC. Are they all checked?

Is this because of the theme that i am using? I am using Curves theme.

I don't think so. Curves is the default theme that the Demo store that installs with Actinic uses.

What version are you using?

i.e. catalog 25? full version catalog? business? Developer?

it's Developer 6.1.4 - it's been bugging me for a while. Davina and I posted to the community while I was at their office, one of a number of "issues".

Go to 'Business Settings | Ordering'. Is 'Request Location Information Early' selected? If so, then de-select it and it will give you access to the shopping mode functionality.
