so when a user clicks a product image it is the same as if they clicked the 'buy' button.

I would think about this......
Nearly every website has a clickable image to give more info and/or a larger image.
If you change it to a buy routine you will scare people away. I for one will assume dirty tactics and immediately move away from your site.
A compromise is to use the extended info in catalog and put a buy button there

That's not what I want. I have a picture of an image and I want people to be able to click on it and have it added to their basket - the same functionality as the buy button.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Cheers
James

This knowledge base article (http://knowledge.actinic.com/users/kadmin/cgi-bin/ss000007.pl?PRODREF=CD352&NOLOGIN=1&ACTINIC_REFERRER=http://knowledge.actinic.com/users/kadmin/acatalog/) tells you how to add a product to the cart with a hyperlink. Use this type of hyperlink for your images.
