Compact Databases ?

I was wondering if it is safe to just run a compact database, and if someone could tell me what it does.

It's perfectly safe and will just compact the database file (ActinicCatalog.mdb) in your Site folder.

If you have a large database (i.e. lots of products and lots of orders) it can sometimes speed up Actinic on your PC if you compact the database.
