Hi there,
I am new to Actinic and am using v.5.1.1.0.0CBMA. The problem I am having is that when anyone outside the UK places an order, they get error messages and cannot proceed through checkout.
I have shipping set up based on order value, with 3 zones (UK, North America & Rest of EU) with 3 classes of delivery per zone.
I have setup the zones in exactly the same format as UK (which works fine) and am really struggling to find where I've gone wrong with the other two.
The website can be seen at www.baby-needs.co.uk.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

I placed a test order on the site and as you say it will not ship EU just gave error message.
I did see a menu bar repeated just above the terms and conditions so this may provide a clue as I assume it should not be there.

Thanks for checking the site Gary, I know just what you mean about the menu bar. I managed to sort that out by correcting the tax zones, so thanks for that:)
I think I've also temporarily solved the shipping problem by changing the UK Shipping Zone members to include all countries instead of having three separate zones. All orders will go though now which is the important thing!!
I don't know if you/anyone has any ideas about setting the other two shipping zones back up again or where I might have been going wrong??
Cheers,
Jules

To create a new zone, do a right click in the white area and select 'New Zone'. Give it a name and then select the countries that you want in that zone by clicking a country and then clicking the '<' button.
To create a new shipping class within that zone, do a right click on the zone and select 'Add Class | New Class'.
You can then enter shipping values for that class within the grid that appears.

Thanks for responding Chris.
What you described is exactly how I setup the zones previously but when anyone ordered from outside the UK, the drop down box to select shipping method became really small, there was nothing inside it to select & an error message came up about 'advanced shipping plug-in' and wouldn't let them proceed through checkout.
I now only have one zone (just so we can keep receiving orders) but ideally need to go back to the three due to differing shipping charges.
Any ideas about why non-UK orders would do this?
Thanks in advance.

Did the error message say something like:
Error executing the advanced shipping plug-in script. syntax error at (eval 9) line 127, at EOF
If it did, then this is sometimes caused by having an extra decimal point in the shipping tables or in the weight fields i.e. instead of £4.50 you accidentally put £4..50.
If so, then the error message probably won't recur now you have removed the old faulty shipping classes. Try building them again.

I've now setup the zones again and on testing for outside UK orders now get the following (different!) message...
"Shipping And Handling
Shipping - Your order has exceeded the shipping tables
defined by the supplier, therefore it is not possible to
calculate the shipping cost. Please contact the supplier
with this information as they will be happy to process
your order and will then be able to correct the shipping tables.
Thank you."
This is the way I have it setup: I have 3 zones (US, UK & Europe) each having the same 3 classes (Goods delivery, voucher delivery, goods & voucher delivery). Each class within each zone has one fixed price, so there is only one row defined in each, which reads value=0.01 Cost=xx.xx. I have 'Don't Allow Excess' checked in each class as well.
All of these settings are live on the site now if you wanted to have a look.
This is probably going to turn out to be a really simple thing that I have done wrong, so I'll apologise now!! ;)
But if you could help that would be fantastic. Thanks again.

I'm afraid it is something simple. You need to set 'excess' to 'Take the highest value in the table'.
