Searching for custom properties

I run a small online bookstore through Actinic Catalog. I have added some custom properties: authors name, ISBN and publication date.

Is there anyway for customers to search these properties using the standard search function on the website? I have tried searching by author and ISBN and the website returns that there are "no matching products were found".

Can anyone help?

Unfortunately this is only available in Business and up.

Attribute/Custom Property search abilities are not available within Catalog..
