Maybe it's me being dumb...

The Canaries (Tenerife) are not in the EC / EFTA and therefore tax free export, however in Actinic they seem to default to Spain which is EC and for VAT registered B2B transactions this is causing problems.

How do you add and define a country?

You need to go into advanced | locations. Set up the Canaries, add them to your payment and shipping depending on what needs to be charged. Look under the help screen for this. It's a question always being asked, as I know.
