Expandable design ? 100% tables

Hi
I've seen other sites use 100% tables to expand their design layout.
This would be ideal for our site, rather than use 620 fixed layout.

Does anyone have any information they would like to share?
It would be much appreciated.

You need to set the outer table to 100% width

Hi,

I'm just getting stylesheets to do all the layout and its new to me - grrrr... However for tables I usually do a mix of setting ACTSTDWIDTH in design options (I think) to 100% and then going through the templates (an editor may do this automatically for you) and replacing all the set widths with 100% also.

Be careful though, some you may want to keep fixed, ie those in checkout pages as 100% may be too wide to read easily and some of the widths vary, i.e. 570, 600 etc.

Once you've got them all though from primary through to product line templates you're there.

I tend to override ACTWIDTH and set tables widths as I am doing the design

ACTSTDWIDTH I usually set to the size I want the Catalog pages to be. iei the bulk of the site and set the rest during design
