How do I move an order file to a new machine

I have a situation where an old acd file is on machine 1
and a new acd is on machine 2
Machine 2 is newly formatted with new graphics.

What I need is to be able to take the old orders file
from machine 1 and maually place it in to machine 2.
I dont want to take the whole acd becuase the graphics
etc would be wrong.
How can I just take over the order file
Both machines are on 6.1.4

Hi Arthur,

I'm afraid it's not possible to transfer orders from site to site.

You could perhaps copy the relevant tables from the database, which are of the top of my head:

Order
OrderDetail
OrderMail
OrderTracking
Customer
Person

But I would not recommend doing this as it may make the software unstable or cause other problems.

I will add this to the wish list again.

I've just had a re-think on this.

If you take a snapshot from PC2 in import it into PC1 with "Overwrite All Order In Target Installation" unchecked, that will copy the new design into the old PC. You can now export a snapshot from PC1 and pop it into PC2 with "Overwrite All Order In Target Installation" checked.

That should work :rolleyes:
