View Full Version : Import not updating on extended Info ???

We use Sage Link V2 and Import in to Business V6 with this, We are having a problem where we have sage product description mapped to extened info text. It imports ok but if you change the test in sage and import as an upfate into Business it does not update it. It worked ok when it was mapped to Full description.
Any Ideas, this is a major pain in the butt for us. Ta

Hmm - I've managed to make my Extended Info text field update with no probs.
Always make sure you are using the latest Sage import file - Actinic Link produces a new one each time you do a transfer. They are numbered sequentially.

We have been using this function for ages, its only seems to be since the new version of bussiness 6.0.2, we also have the recently released Link Version.

What settings do you have in the 'Product/Sections' tab of Actinic Link? Make sure it is not set to transfer stock quantities only.

All the settings are ok and havent changed,
For example our product http://www.refreshcomputers.com/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?PRODREF=MONAOCLM720A&NOLOGIN=1
We have changed the description and increased the price.
If an import is run nothing changes, but if you delete the product them import the product is re-imnported correctly,
This has only started happening recently, its a pain as I cannot monitor every single product people have changed info on and delete them.

I'm out of ideas on this one I'm afraid. There have been no changes in the software in this area other than the fact v6 comes with a new 'File | Import from Sage' wizard which will automatically import a Sage file with standard mappings. Obviously, you will not be using this as you are not using standard mappings.
Did you say this has started happening when you imported to 6.0.2 from 6.0.1, or when you moved up to the latest version of Sage Link?
