Slow loading index.html

Have just upgraded from v 6.0 to 7.0 and have changed from Machiines to Smart theme.

Now Acatalog Index.html takes about 1.25 minutes to load when launched from direct link on my home page at www.inks4less.co.uk (Click on Red Door) or when launched directly from browser. Previously loading was virtually instantaneous.

Any ideas appreciated

Look at your site, when clicking on the red door, it takes 3-4 second for your site to appear.

Are you on broadband or dialup?

Using ISDN dialup - the catalog index page is taking 1.25 minutes to load! Have accress to several PC's and get same result on all.
As there was no problem on previous installation i.e. v.0 6.0 + machines theme it would not appear to be a connection problem but something to do with Java Script /CGI bin coding.

I'm using 512k BB. It does take a bit longer than you would expect considering the page content. 12 - 15 seconds.

I'd speak to your ISP as I cant see anything that would make it take that long.

I'm on 512k and it took about 1 second to load so maybe all is ok now.

It seems fine to me. I'm on 48Kb dial-up (and in Turkey).
