My client has actinic and keeps having problems with the shipping for example this morning an order this morning from Italy for 3 items. Postage charge should have been £10. (First item at £5 then 2 items at £2.50 each). However Actinic added it up to be £17.61.
Can anybody help with this?

If you want first item at £5.00 and then the next to items as £2.50 each, then you need the following setup:

Ensure you are calculating shipping by total quantity.

In the shipping grid, you should have set up the following:

Quantity | Cost
1 | £5.00

And then in 'Excess' down at the bottom, you should increment the highest value in the table by '£2.50' per '1'.

Also, check your tax treatment at the top as this gets added onto shipping. It should be set to 'Pro-Rata'.

Do you have any additional handling charges on the order (in the 'Handling' tab)?

At the moment, this is how shipping is being charged for Italy on your store:

1 item - £7.61
2 items - £12.61
3 items - £17.61
4 items - £22.61

Which means your client is charging £7.61 for one item and then exactly £5.00 for each item after that.

There is no way this could have come from what you said is set up of £5.00 for the first item and then £2.50 for each item after that.

I am at a loss to explain what is happening. I suggest you take it up with our support team by registereing a question here (http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm).

Hi there. Sorry to hear you are having problems. We see that you operate in the Scottish Borders, I found RS-Design of Newtown St. Boswells to be experts in the field of actinic. I had a similar problem and they soted me out in minutes.

Yours,
