Can you help with this error message?

I've contacted my ISP and it's not helped. Also tried an upload several times.

This error comes up when we try to email customers in the order management section.

Thanks.

Nick

Hi there.

It looks like you are using a hotmail address in View | Business settings | Company contact. Please trying using the one for your domain, normally anything@yourdomain.com. Also check that your SMTP server on Advanced | Network setup is the one allocated to you by your host.

Darren, our email address is set at andy@applesound.co.uk and the hotmail address is the customers address.

Is actinic confused somehow?

Does the network settings test pass, and do you get an email from it, or does it fail?

Yes the Network Test passes and we receive an email.

I have checked all the settings with my ISP too.

Oops, I placed an order on your other site. Oh well, I have checked your error log and there are lots of errors that say:

Error returned from SMTP server (4: 5.7.1 Unable to relay for someone@someemail.co.uk. In fact, an entry has been created for my email address.

I would suggest contacting your hosting company and asking them why the mail server cannot relay outside of its own domain.

OK Darren. I'll see what they say.
