Hi there,

Currently I am using Actinic Ver 6.0 but the themes that are provided with this version are not likeable. Is there anyway we can modify the theme or probably create a brand new theme? If yes, could you please tell us which software I can use to do that?

Thank you in advanced

I have to agree with you the templates are not the prettiest of things ;), I can't get the boss to agree to upgrading just for some new templates.

You can edit the templates using most things. Sorry I can't be much help but im in the same boat as you.

download yourself a copy of Designing with V7 and the advanced user guide, both on the downloads page on actinic.co.uk.

Use dreamweaver or notepad as your software to make the changes

Actinic is fully customisable in terms of visual appearance (see http://store.over-clock.com for instance)

All templates are HTML based, simply hit Advanced > Template Manager and select the template you want to edit, which Actinic will then open up in your default HTML editor which you specify at Advanced > Template Manager > Editor

You can use ANY html editor, eg: Notepad if you're good with raw code. Dreamweaver if you like WYSIWYG. AVOID MS FRONTPAGE!!

Refer to the Users Guides for further info as to what template does what. It's all covered in the various guides that can be downloaded from this site.
