actinic link quickbooks

I get the following error try to create a connection for the first time using the 30 day trail?
The Quickbooks company data file is currently open in a mode other than the one specified by your application.

Got it working not sure what was wrong?

I know you have to allow Actinic Link as a valid QuickBooks user the first time you use Actinic Link. This is something you allow actually in QuickBooks itself. Maybe this is what you were experiencing.
