I need to re-install Actinic on a business user system and wondered if it was ok to copy the 'site' directory, uninstall Actinic, reinstall Actinic and then copy the 'site' folder back in ...

Would this work ok?

I am trying to add a picture and or text to the extended information tab but when i select the extended info check box or click apply all i keep getting is an message:

the current cart summary is on one line, but I wish to split it.
I have modified the shopping cart summary line layout (on the test catalog access to which is restricted by IP) this works to an extent but the problem is as follows...

We display prices in two currencies across the site. The Shopping Cart Summary Line Layout calls a function getCartItem(1) to display the cart total, I want to change the return of that function to list the dollar price on a separate line.

However I don't know where to find that function?

Hi All,
My client wishes to implement a free shipping option as well as the current postal and courier options (which are calculated by weight).

However they have a number of products which cannot be shipped free as they require specialised refrigerated transport.

As far as I know I can't exclude just those products from the free shipping option. It's not fully thrashed out yet so the cost of the refrigerated shipping may be added as a handling charge for those items or something.

So I at least would like to display a warning at the shipping selection page of the checkout to ensure they select the correct shipping method or an explanation as to why they are being charged despite selecting free shipping.

The products in question have had a custom variable 'Refrigerated' applied so that I can display an explanation on the product pages themselves.

My Question: Is there any way to determine if a particular product is in the cart at the checkout page, or if any product in the cart has a particular variable set so that the message is only displayed when it is relevant to the products in the cart?

I guess I can probably manage it with some javascript, but I would rather be able to use a block if in the page template otherwise I will have to modify the function if the list of refrigerated products changes.

Also any ideas of different ways to deal with the charges for that limited set of products would be appreciated!!

I am creating some 'Choices' under Components with Attributes, for the Drop Downs the Additional Price is shown in brackets but there's a problem...

The component uses ten units, each unit costs £0.05 so the total additional price would be £0.50 and I have selected to use 'Associated Product' as the pricing model, only the additional cost of one unit is shown in the drop down not the total additional cost of the actual ten units which shall be added to the order. Work around would be to create a new product of ten of these units but that's not preferable for stock control. Any ideas why the software is not showing the price correctly? (It calculates in cart ok).

I have created some component based products, no attribute or choices...

A non-registered customer can purchase them, however registered customers can add to the cart but then they are removed upon the refresh of the cart page. The components are in stock and available to purchase, the registered customer can purchase said component and related product, the price schedule for both component and product are available to that customer group.

Any suggestions, something I missed or is there a bug?

when I try to save a snapshot of my Actinic site I get the following error messages:

FATAL ERRORS
(File SnapshotWizard.cpp, Line 674) - Archive error 5 - The compression operation failed
Library error - Can not open file C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\Site1\products\BonaSandingMachinesPics\Bona_Mini_Buffer_S.jpg ! has been caught.
Errors
(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 456) - The file C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\Site1\products\BonaLacquersPics\D500_L.jpg was not found System error 3 - The system cannot find the path specified.

In particular, I'm wondering what the bit 'has been caught' means.

I've tried deleting a problematic .jpg, which removes a fatal error, only for a different fatal error to be produced.

I guess this must be a common problem but my searches are not returning relevant results!

When I update my (summary) catalogue pages, I'm aware that customers will still be seeing the old version until they do a F5 or equivalent. If they don't refresh they will not see the new stock I've just added.

I'm sure we all have this problem. Is there an EASY way to make this happen using Actinic? If I've missed a previous discussion on the subject I'd be very grateful to receive the link.

We offer samples on our website, but suddenly none of the buttons work when a user clicks on them to order a sample.

I have checked in Design | Text and the Show checkbox next to Invoice Separate Delivery Address is missing
and i cannot find how to get it back
I am losing orders as customers cannot put their work address for delivery
