Price per item with basket price per pack

Hi,
I need to sell products that are £0.50 each and are in packs of 50, the price needs to display £0.50 but the basket price when added needs to be £25 (i.e the pack price) they are already displayed in quantity ranges e.g. 1-100, 100+ etc. I just need the pack price in the basket, I've searched but cant find a solution
Thanks Chris

Permutations should do that for you, have a read up on them in the inbuilt help, you could have the quantity and price in a drop down list and the basic price just against the base product. Quantity based pricing to show the band of pricing is possible too, you need the business version for that though.

I've looked at permutations with a drop down of individual prices and it is banded but it lets the customer enter any quantity e.g 70 individual items, but the product comes in packs of 50. I need the customer to enter number of packs but the prices are per items, e.g. 200-500 £0.50 each 500+ £0.40.
Thanks Chris

The quantity box is the number of packs, the permutation is the number in each box and the price of the box.
